The Grizzled Young Veterans, a free agent tag team, are launching a brand new independent wrestling promotion.
Burning Heart Pro Wrestling debuts in June with a show at the Liverpool Olympia, Liverpool, England. The promotion will be run by a committee made up of “top international wrestling stars.”
Zack Gibson & James Drake from The Grizzled Young Veterans released a video Wednesday announcing this news. The first show of the promotion is scheduled for Friday, 21st June. Tickets will be available for purchase on Monday, April 29.
Drake says, “It’s our privilege to announce Burning Heart Pro Wrestling.” “A new international promotion of wrestling run by a committee made up of the top international wrestlers.”
Gibson said, “The first Burning Heart Pro Wrestling show will be held in my hometown at the Liverpool Olympia on the 21st June.” “A venue with a rich history, a city that is full of heart, and countless tears, sweat, blood, and sweat.” What better place to let the world know what Burning Heart is all about: pro-wrestling from the heart.”
Gibson & Drake left NXT in October last year when their WWE contracts expired. They asked to be released in April 2023, but were denied.
The Grizzled Youth Veterans, who left WWE in 2011, have competed for TNA Wrestling and the independents since then.
